Operation
The SC-4 Signal Conditioner unit is a four station system used to monitor temperature. This system is used with Maxi-Tronic HB Series bearing Temperature sensors. RB Series alignment Sensors, Rub Blocks and other Maxi-Tronic temperature sensors.

The SC-4 will interface temperature, alignment and
most PTC sensors to a PLC or computer system. NOTE THE CAUTION UNDER SPECIFICATIONS.

Each of the sensor inputs are wired directly to the SC-4 unit. Each sensor then controls the OFF and ON action of a 3 amp at 120 VAC relay. When the sensor is connected and the temperature is below its TURN ON range, the GREEN L.E.D. will light and the relay will be closed.

When the temperature exceeds the TURN ON point, the RED L.E.D. will turn ON and the GREEN L.E.D. will turn OFF. The output relay will switch to the OPEN position signaling a present change in the temperature of the sensor.

If the sensor should be damaged or wire leads to the sensor should open, the RED L.E.D. will turn ON and the output relay will switch to the OPEN position.

Continuous FAILSAFE protection-
If the sensor or wiring is damaged or shorted; the RED L.E.D. will turn on and the output relay will switch to the open or alarm position.

Specifications: Sensor voltage- 6 volts at 50 MA Maximum P.C. board input voltage- 120 VAC at 2 AMPS 60 Hz Relays rated at 3 AMPS at 120 VAC Center to Center on mounting holes- 6.25" x 4.25" P.C. board size- 5.25" x 7.2"
